Compliance & standards

We verify. We do not claim .

A clear rule runs through everything we do: Setu holds no third-party certifications. We work with accredited bodies to verify standards in the supply chain, and we are precise about who issued what.

Where it’s made. Who made it. What it’s certified for.

Read this first. Setu World Ltd is not a GOTS- or OEKO-TEX-licensed entity. We do not hold SMETA or BSCI certifications. We coordinate verification of these standards in the supply chain on behalf of our buyers, through accredited third parties. Any certificate named below belongs to the mill, lab or audit body that issued it — not to Setu.
GOTS

Global Organic Textile Standard

Scope, chain of custody and transaction certificates at the mill level. We confirm the standard is current, scope covers the buyer’s fibre, and a transaction certificate can be issued for the specific shipment.

OEKO-TEX

Standard 100 & STeP

We verify OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certificates at component level (yarn, dye, finish) and surface the certificate number, expiry and issuing institute on every quote.

SMETA

Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit

SMETA 4-pillar audits (Labour, Health & Safety, Environment, Business Ethics) arranged through accredited audit firms. We share the full audit report with the buyer, not a summary.

BSCI

Business Social Compliance Initiative

BSCI audits coordinated where the buyer’s procurement policy requires them. Amfori-issued, with the audit ID and validity surfaced in our documentation.

Diversity

Supplier-diversity frameworks

Setu is women-owned. We align with SheTrades (ITC) and WEConnect International frameworks. We provide ownership disclosure documentation for buyers who count our spend toward their supplier-diversity goals.

Customs & origin

Rules-of-origin & trade preference

We prepare certificates of origin and support rules-of-origin claims for AGOA, SADC, EU GSP and India-ESA trade preferences where the goods qualify. Where they don’t, we say so.
